Odisha polls: NBWs against 3 for failing to provide vehicles for poll duty!

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29:

Non-bailable warrants have been issued by the Dhenkanal district administration against senior executives of three private companies for their failure to provide vehicles for election duty.

Dhenkanal Collector Rupa Roshan Sahu has ordered the Kantabania police to immediately arrest the three officials Srikumar Damani of Nrusingha Banijya Private Limited, Shantanu Sengupta of Vrat Project Private Limited and Sachidananda Patnaik of Shree Logistics Private Limited. All three companies have been engaged by Bhushan Steel Limited at at Kantabania plant.

The Collector had written a letter on March 7 asking these companies to provide vehicles for poll duty by March 20 and inform the SP and the special squad about compliance. But these companies never bothered to respond to the letter, inviting the present action, district administration sources said.

“Efforts are on to arrest these officials,” Kantabania IIC said.
