Odisha Rath Yatra, Bahuda, Suna Vesha to be telecast live on DD

The Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Bhubaneswar will telecast live the Rath Yatra, Bahuda, Suna Vesha of the deities in Odisha’s holy city Puri on June 29, July 7 and 8 respectively.

The live telecast of Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra would start from 8.30 AM ((9 am on national network) onward on June 29 and July 7 respectively, while the live telecast of the Suna Vesha will be available on DD-Odia from 4 PM to 8 PM on July 8.

While the commentaries will be in Hindi, English and Sanskrit for the national network, it will be in Odia for the regional viewers.

The Doordarshan Directorate has made arrangements for the live telecast of Rath Yatra on DD-Bharati and DD-India for satellite viewers in the country and abroad.

The grand festivity will also be webcast through the National Informatics Centre (NIC), www.webcast.gov.in and www.jagannath.nic.in

The live telecast will also be available on DTH Platforms.

Apart from this, a 5-episode serial titled ‘Skanda Purana’ on Purushottama Mahatmya will be telecast from June 30 to July 4 at 6 AM on DD-Odia.
