Odisha records highest single-day COVID-19 recoveries; tally at 7407

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported highest single-day COVID-19 recoveries  after as many as 401 patients recovered from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

With this, the total number of recovered cases in the state surged to 7,407.

“Scaling new heights in the war against COVID-19 , Odisha achieved a record 401 recoveries of Covid patients in a day,” said the department 

Ganjam reported the highest 100 recoveries. The rest cured patients belong to Gajapati (67), Cuttack (42), Jajpur (32), Deogarh (19), Koraput (18), Khordha (15), Bargarh (14), Bhadrak (14), Balasore (12), Keonjhar (10), Malkangiri (10), Jagatsinghpur (9), Jharsuguda (7), Mayurbhanj (7), Kandhamal (6), Nayagarh (5), Sambalpur (5), Nabarangpur (4), Kendrapada (3) and Dhenkanal (2).

Earlier in the day,  highest 577 new positive cases were reported in the state taking the total count to 11,201.
