Odisha records rise in day temperature in several areas

Bhubaneswar: Even as this year’s summer season is yet to commence, Odisha today registered significant rise in day temperature in several areas.

Balasore recorded the highest rise in day temperature as it rose by 5.6 degree Celsius, followed by Sambalpur (5.5 degree Celsius), Angul (4.8 degree Celsius), Jharsuguda (4.8 degree Celsius), Paradip (4.6 degree Celsius), Keonjhar (4.3 degree Celsius), Bhubaneswar (4.2 degree Celsius), Balangir (4.2 degree Celsius), Chandbali (4.1 degree Celsius) and Phulbani (4 degree Celsius).

While dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha, minimum temperature rose at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha with no large change elsewhere. It was appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, above normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha and normal at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha, the Regional Meteorological Centre predicted.

No large change in minimum temperature (Night Temperature) over the districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days, it added.
