Odisha registers 7 new COVID-19 fatalities; Toll reaches 1988

Bhubaneswar: Seven more persons diagnosed with COVID-19 died of the virus in the last 24 hours in Odisha.

“Regret to inform the demise of seven numbers of COVID positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today. 

With this, the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 rose to 1988 in Odisha.

Here’re details of new COVID deaths in the State: 

  1. A 38 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
  2. A 35 years old male of Ganjam district.
  3. A 78 years old female of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.
  4. A 50 years old female of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  5. A 53 years old male of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.
  6. A 68 years old female of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Bronchial Asthma.
  7. A 45 years old male of Sundargarh district.
