Odisha: Religious places to reopen for devotees in this district from tomorrow

Jagatsinghpur: All religious institutions in Jagatsinghpur district will reopen for devotees from tomorrow, informed the district administration today.

Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra said temples and other places of worship will reopen for devotees in the district from tomorrow. They can visit the religious places from 7.30 in the morning till evening ‘Alati’ by following COVID Appropriate Behaviour.

However, the devotees will not be allowed to offer Prasad to the deities, as decided earlier by the state Government.

Yesterday, all religious places in Cuttack district reopened for the public.

The state Government, in its fresh COVID-19 guidelines for the month of August,  has authorised district Collectors/ Municipal Commissioners to take decision on allowing public worship at religious places with restrictions.
