Odisha reports 244 new COVID-19 positive cases

Bhubaneswar: As many as 244 more persons in Odisha contracted Coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the state’s total caseload to 3,32,106.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 24 districts, 142 have been reported from different quarantine centres while 102 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.

Sambalpur district recorded highest 37 fresh cases followed by Bargarh (23) and Sundargarh (22) districts.

Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 2,118 and recovered cases at 3,28,043.
