Bhubaneswar: As many as 2752 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s count to 84,231, informed the Government.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1708 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1044 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Total 12 districts reported over 100 fresh cases in a single day with Khordha registering highest 423 cases followed by Cuttack (247), Jajpur (217) and Ganjam (212).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 26,826. However, 56,924 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 58,338 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 14,21,958 tests have been conducted in the state.
