Odisha reports 67 more COVID-19 positive cases; tally at 1660
Bhubaneswar: As many as 67 more persons tested positive for the deadly coronavirus in the state in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 1660, informed Health and Family Welfare Department today.
The fresh cases are from Ganjam (26), Jajpur (11), Khordha (11), Nayagarh (7), Balangir (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Sambalpur (2), Keonjhar (1), Sonepu (4) and Bargarh (1). Of the 67 fresh cases, 65 were reported from quarantine centres while remaining two are local contacts.
A total of 3037 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
With the new cases, the number of active patients in the state rose to 841. However, 812 patients have so far recovered in the state while seven persons have succumbed to the disease. Out of 30 districts in the state, 29 have COVID-19 positive cases with Jajpur having the highest 127 active cases followed by Ganjam with 108.
It is pertinent to mention here that two days ago,Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said coming 15 days to a month will be more challenging following resumption of flight services.
