Odisha reports 8399 new COVID cases with 66683 tests; 40 more succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: As many as 8399 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours as the tally in the state reached 782131. A total of 66683 samples were tested in the state, yesterday.

Khurda reported highest 1102 fresh cases, followed by Cuttack (766) and Jajpur (514). With this, the number of active cases in the state reached 87220.

Odisha also registered its highest-ever single-day COVID-19 toll as 40 more persons succumbed to the virus in the state. The overall toll has mounted to 2831.
