Odisha: Rs 78.76 lakh granted to institutions run by Missionaries of Charity

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned Rs 78.76 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to support 13 institutions run by Missionaries of Charity in the State.

Patnaik, on December 30, 2021, directed the Collectors to ensure that no inmates of the institutions run by Missionaries of Charity suffer due to food security and health related issues.

On basis of the requests made by the Collectors, the Chief Minister sanctioned assistance for the 13 institutions spreading over eight districts.

The decision will benefit more than 900 inmates in various leprosiums and orphanages in the State, mentioned a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
