Bhubaneswar: Schools across Odisha will reopen for the students of classes 6 and 7 after Diwali, informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, today.
“We are considering the possibility of commencement of classroom teaching for the students of classes 6 and 7 in the first phase,” the minister.
“In the later phase, the schools may reopen for the students of classes 1 to 5. We are hopeful that offline classes for students of all classes shall begin by New Year,” he said.
The SOPs that are being followed for classroom teaching of classes 8 to 12 students will be followed for other students as well, he added.
Currently, offline classes are being held only for the students of classes 8 to 12 with adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
While the online classes will continue, students can attend the offline classes in consultation with their parents/ guardians.
This apart, cooked mid-day meal will not be served to the students. Instead, dry ration will be provided to the students as being provided earlier, the SOP said.
