Odisha sends 2 more medical oxygen tankers to Vizag, Pune

Bhubaneswar:  Amidst oxygen crisis in the country, Odisha today sent two more consignments of medical oxygen to Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh and Pune of severely COVID-infected Maharashtra.

Two tankers carrying the medical oxygen from an industrial unit in Jajpur left for Vishakhapatnam early this morning. Last night,  the first consignment of 20 tonnes of medical oxygen left for Vishakhapatnam from Angul.

Odisha police is escorting the tankers for prompt and unhindered transportation of the oxygen so as to reach thousands of needy patients without any delay.

“A dedicated corridor is being provided by Odisha police. We are committed to ensure prompt transportation so that thousands of needy patients can be served without delay,” said police.

Yesterday,  Maharashtra and Delhi Chief Ministers thanked Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik for helping them get the oxygen supply.
