Odisha Senior Inter District Sepak Takraw from Oct 11

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9:
The 15th Inter District Sepak Takraw Tournament for men and women would begin at the Kalinga Stadium in Odisha’s capital city from October 11.
The Sports and Youth Affairs department has given permission to Bhubaneswar Sepak Takraw Association to organise the two-day tournament that would conclude on October 12.
A total of 20 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams will participate in the tournament.
The tournament would be held for the selection of the state team for the National Sepak Takraw Championship to be held at Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh from October 29 to November 2.
The tournament would be officiated by 10 national referees and the head of the Odisha State Referees’ Committee, Mohd Gulfam.
A preliminary training camp for the probable state team players would be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack from September 21 to 28, informed, Satyabrata Ratho, general secretary of Odisha State Sepak Takraw Association, in a release today.
