Odisha shocker: Minor boys sexually exploited by teacher at madrasa
As per reports, the children duo, aged 13 and 10 years, respectively, left the madrasa on Monday night after they were unable to bear the torture by one of the teachers Rizwan.
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, two minor boys were rescued by Childline services after they left a madrasa due to alleged sexual exploitation and physical assault by one of the teachers under Niali police limits of Odisha’s Cuttack district here today.
As per reports, the children duo, aged 13 and 10 years, respectively, left the madrasa on Monday night after they were unable to bear the torture by one of the teachers Rizwan. They were found wandering in a lost manner by one Satyajit Patra and Pradip Patra who accommodated them at their place and informed Childline and police.
After getting inputs, Childline members Harapriya Pati and Ajay Kumar Maharana under direction of Bhubaneswar Childline official Benudhar Senapati reached Balipatna police station under the Twin City Commissionerate and informed them about the incident after which sub inspector Rakesh Samal and PCR team went and rescued the children from Apuja area.
Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the children belonged to Bihar’s Bhagalpur while the other was from Godda district in Jharkhand. They had been brought to the madrasa one and half years back by accused Rizwan who used to teach at the institution housing almost 70 children. However, the duo claimed that they were being sexually and physically abused by him ever since they came here. Unable to bear the agony, they left.
Official sources said after probe, the children will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee.
