Bhubaneswar: Ace shooter Shriyanka Sadangi from Odisha has been included in the Indian team for women’s 10m air rifle and 50m rifle 3-position events at the upcoming Asian Championship in South Korea.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 22 to November 2 at Changwon in South Korea, sources said.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Sadangi for getting a place in the Indian team for the mega sporting event. Patnaik also wished for her success in the tournament.

Sports and Youth Services department Secretary Vineel Krishna too congratulated Sadangi and hoped that the ace shooter would qualify for the Paris Olympics.

Notably, Sadangi had bagged gold at the 64th National Shooting Championship in Bhopal in 2021.

She clinched the medal in the Women’s 50m Rifle-3 position event at the championship.

Sadangi had brought silver in the 10m air rifle women individual event at the International Shooting Competition at Hannover in Germany in 2019.
