Odisha: Show cause notice to KV for holding classes during summer vacation

Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi today issued a show cause notice to Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 in Odisha capital for holding classes in the school during summer vacation.

The principal of the school has been asked to reply within three days failing which action as per law shall be initiated against him.

Besides, he has been directed to extend summer vacation in the school till June 25.

The SRC issued the notice enclosing a news clipping of leading Odia daily ‘Sambad’ in which a report regarding holding of classes in the school during the vacation was published today.

Notably, in view of the heat wave condition prevailing in Odisha, the State Government had issued direction for extension of summer vacation of all schools initially till June 21 and subsequently till June 25.
