Meanwhile, Ganjam District Collector DC Prem Chand has said that intense search to capture kidney racket members is on. He also added the elder daughter has been given police protection.

According to reports, Dhusasana Dalai had developed some serious cerebral problem. His daughters took him for treatment to Berhampur and Bhubaneswar without success, they later took him to Gajalkota Ashram at Visakhapatnam.

After one week of treatment the patient’s condition did not improve and the doctors suggested he should be taken to a Hyderabad hospital.

The sisters were worried about money, taking advantage one Raju Patnaik from Ganjam district in Visakhapatnam contacted them and persuaded them to sell one kidney each for Rs.6 lakh. The girls were to be operated upon on March 30.

The accused did not turn up in time and the two sisters by mistake called up one Bishnu Sahu of Chatrapur block of Ganjam district.

He contacted Ganjam District Collector DC Prem Chand, who in turn informed his counterpart in Visakhapatnam and rescued the girls.

The Visakhapatnam district administration has taken charge of treatment of their ailing Dalai and the Ganjam district administration has also decided to contribute towards the treatment.
