Bhubaneswar: Sprinter from Odisha Amiya Kumar Mallick brought laurel for the state as well as the country by clinching silver at men’s 4X100 meters relay in South Asian Games 2019 held in Nepal on Friday.
Team India comprising Amiya Kumar Mallick, Harjit Singh, Gurindervir Singh and Pranav Kalappur clocked 0:39.97 to win silver. While Sri Lanka bagged gold medal, Pakistan finished third with bronze at the event.
India continues to dominate medal tally at ongoing 13th South Asian Games 2019 with impressive performance in Nepal. It tops the table with total 165 medals including 81 golds and 59 silvers so far.
