Bhubaneswar, Aug 21:
Promising woman sprinter of Odisha, Srabani Nanda, has found a place in the 56-member national team, announced by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), for the ensuing 2014 Asian Games to be held at Incheon in South Korea next month.
Srabani would participate in the 200-metre sprint and 4X100 meter relay race.
The AFI selection committee, while discussing the performance of the athletes at the recently-concluded Federation Cup National Athletics Championships, decided to give another opportunity to four athletes including Odisha sprinter Amiya Kumar Mallick in the final trial to be held at Patiala on September 15.
These athletes would be selected if they achieve a medal-winning performance in the trial.
