Odisha: Teacher canes students in school, video goes viral

Keonjhar: A teacher was found mercilessly beating students after kneeling them down at a school in Keonjhar district. The matter came to fore after a video of his act went viral on social media today. Even though the Odisha government has made schools as punishment free zone, the inhuman act of the teacher has raised many eyebrows.

The teacher, Rati Narayan Rout working at Pitatangara Upper Primary School beat up the students including girls at the school premises when they failed to answer a question.

The video of Rati Narayan beating students went viral on social media following which the Block Education Officer Kapilendra Mishra placed him under suspension.
