Odisha teacher caught while having sex with prostitute in school, suspended

A school teacher was today placed under suspension after being allegedly caught while having sex with a prostitute on the school premises last night in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

According to reports, Mohammad Naseem Khan (30)– the Urdu teacher of Chandapur primary school– was caught red-handed while having sex with a prostitute on the school premises last night. Khan and one of his associates Sheikh Aftab had allegedly called a prostitute from Rajnagar area in Kendrapara district.

Youth from Chandapur village spotted them and caught them during the act which gave rise to heated arguments following which scores of local people gheraoed the school demanding action against the teacher. Of the three persons, one of Khan’s associate, however, managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of darkness in the night.

Several people today staged a dharna in front of the school demanding suspension of the teacher, prohibiting tuitions and stay of teachers in the school, formation of new school management among others. The agitators withdrew their stir after assurance from education department officials that proper action would be initiated against the teacher.

Upon being informed by the villagers this morning about the incident, the Dharmashala police took the duo to the police station for interrogation. They were not arrested till the filing of this report.

The accused school teacher has been suspended from job. We are inquiring into the matter, CRCC Prataprudra Panda said.

Notably, the teacher hails from Binjharpur area and has been working in the Chandapur primary school since March, 2011.

There have been allegations against the teacher of bringing sex workers to the school for his personal recreation.
