Hundreds of teachers today took out a rally from Master Canteen square to Lower PMG square of Bhubaneswar to press for their demand.

“There are overall 167 schools including 87 ME schools where the teachers are not getting full aid. We urge the government to make necessary arrangements to address this issue before the upcoming panchayat polls,” said convener of STFO Prakash Mohanty.

He further asked the government to take over these schools.

It may be mentioned here that the teachers have been agitating demanding abolition of block grant system, provision of full grant-in-aid, permanent appointment and government take-over of all private schools.

They had observed a ‘Dabi Dibasa’ yesterday to highlight their issue.
