Odisha telly actor Jessy hospitalized again

Arrested Odisha telly artist Pralipta Priyadarshini Samal alias Jessy was again admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) here today by Soro sub jail authorities after she again fell sick this morning.

Jessy fell sick on Tuesday after taking her afternoon meal at 2 pm at the Soro sub jail. The actor who suffered from bouts of vomiting was initially treated by doctors of the CHC requisitioned by the jail authorities at the jail premises. Later she was shifted to the CHC as her health condition deteriorated. The actor was administered with intravenous fluids and medicines at the hospital and on improvement in her health condition was sent back to the jail yesterday.

The telly actor was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide of actor Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja on February 16.

Currently, she is lodged in the Soro sub jail after her bail plea was rejected by the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court Soro on the day of arrest.

Later she has moved the District & Sessions Judge Court Balasore seeking bail, the hearing of which has been posted to March 1.
