Odisha to award performing staff of corporations

The Odisha government would felicitate its performing employees working in various state-run corporations in recognition of their contribution towards their work.

The state government today announced this decision where it would honour the shortlisted ones in a function to be held in April next year.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would present the awards in seven different categories: best chairman-cum -managing director (CMD), managing director (MD), company secretary, director finance, HRD, officer instrumental in preservation of properties of corporations and innovative idea for fostering business growth of corporation.

While the best CMD and MD would be bestowed with Rs 50,000 cash prize and a citation, the best company secretary, finance director and HRD officer would get Rs 25,000.

Besides, the employees chosen for their service in preserving corporation properties and best employee would be given Rs 10,000 each as cash prize and a citation.

The government expects to increase the efficiency of its employees with these incentives.
