Odisha to complete COVID-19 death audit in10-15 days

Bhubaneswar: The audit on deaths due to COVID-19 will be completed in Odisha in next 10 to 15 days, informed DMET Director Dr. CBK Mohanty today.

“The Government is sharing the details of confirmed death cases daily following due completion of audit process. It will be completed within 10 or 15 days. We are providing the single-day toll report after reviewing from all angles,” Dr. Mohanty told news reporters.

On daily COVID-19 cases in the State, he said that many people are not following COVID appropriate behaviour. Despite decline in infection rate in Odisha, the TPR is above 5% in a few districts.

“Normally, the unlock process is made in a staggering manner. The decision for unlocking the State completely will be taken after analysing the reports on virus transmission rate and people’s adherence to COVID guidelines,” he said while suggesting for extension of COVID restrictions for next few days.
