Odisha Tourism dept holds roadshow in Pune

An Odisha Tourism Road Show, with 95 leading tour operators and travel agents of Maharashtra as participants, was held in Pune on Saturday to showcase the state’s tourism potential, a departmental press release said here today.

Ten stakeholders from Odisha also participated in the road show and discussed the possibility of increasing the tourists footfall in Odisha from Pune (Maharastra),the release added.

Minister, Tourism & Culture Ashok Chandra Panda was present at the road show along with the director, Tourism M. R. Patnaik.

The minister spoke on the new Tourism Policy of the Odisha government and highlighted the new initiatives taken for the promotion of tourism in the state.

Director, Tourism Patnaik made a presentation on Odisha Tourism and its potentials. Both the minister and the director interacted with media persons, tour operators and travel agents and responded to a number of queries from them.

The road show was a successful affair because the participation in the road show was very encouraging. Odisha Tourism will organise its 2nd road show at Bhopal in September, the release said.
