Odisha urges Centre for early setting up of NINEI

The Odisha government today urged the Centre to allocate necessary funds for construction of the National Institute of New Energy and Innovation (NINEI) here so as to start academic activities at the earliest.

In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said: “The state government has allocated 73.680 acres of land free of cost in Bhubaneswar for the proposed NINEI, a national institute to be established by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The state government is taking several initiatives in accordance with theNational Development Goals for Renewable Energy.”

We are also committed to provide the necessary infrastructure support for this landmark project, he added.
