Odisha veteran actor Jimut Patnaik passes away

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s veteran actor and play director Jimutbahan Patnaik passed away at a pivate hospital here yesterday. He was 63.

He was undergoing treatment at the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. As per reports, the actor complained of illness during the shooting of a TV serial, following which he was taken to a healthcare facility for COVID test.

Patnaik was an employee of the Odisha Police Housing Board and had retired from the service.

He had become popular after portraying various characters in several mega TV serials. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
