Odisha Vig arrests panchayat official for taking bribe

Khordha: Vigilance department sleuths today arrested a Gram Rozgar Sevak for accepting bribe to settle the final bill of a beneficiary under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Begunia panchayat of Odisha’s Khordha district.

According to reports, Gram Rozgar Sevak of Begunia panchayat Shankar Jaisingh was caught red handed by Vigilance department sleuths while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from one Jagannath Maharana, a beneficiary under PMAY to settle his final bill.

Later, Jaisingh was arrested by the Vigilance.
