Odisha Vigilance raids forest officer’s house, office in DA case

Nuapada/Bhubaneswar, Feb 23:

Vigilance today raided the residence and office of Khariar Divisional Forest Officer Sarat Chandra Panda on charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The vigilance sleuths conducted raids at the residence in Bhubaneswar and office at Khariar in Nuapada district.

The searches are underway.

The raids were conducted after Income Tax raided the house of Panda and traced bank deposits of around Rs 4 crore in his name as well as in the name of his relatives.
