Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government warned medical practitioners against issuing false medical certificates in support of the specified co-morbidities.
Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department PK Mohapatra in a letter directed Collector and District Magistrates, Commissioners of Municipal Corporations and Health officials to take action against the registered medical practitioners who issue false medical certificates supporting the specified co-morbidities prescribed by the MoHFW.
Mohapatra further stated the persons producing the false medical certificates at the Covid vaccination centres will face action.
The letter asked the medical practitioners to strictly follow the MoHFW guidelines.
Worth mentioning, the Covid-19 vaccination programme for the age appropriate groups was rolled out from March 1, 2021. Citizens aged 60 years and above and those aged 45 to 59 years with the specified co-morbidities possessing a medical certificate will be able to get the Covid vaccine.
