Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.
“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore,” the Meteorological Centre predicted and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.
“Light rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha,” it added.
Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 2 days and slight fall by about 2 degree Celsius in subsequent 2 days over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature will be more than 40°C at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and likely to be above normal by 3 to 4°C at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 2 days.
