Odisha weather forecast: Thunderstorm, lightning in these districts till Aug 13

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre here today issued Yellow Warning for several districts in Odisha predicting thunderstorm and lightning till August 13.

The latest bulletin issued by the Regional MeT Centre said southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha. Under its influence, light to moderate rain has occurred at a few places over the districts of Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada and Jajpur.

Weather forecast for next 3 days:  

Day 1 (Yellow warning)

From 1.30 pm of August 10 upto 8.30 am of August 11

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Balangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Cuttack and  Jajpur.

Day 2 (Yellow Warning)

From 8.30 am of August 11 upto 8.30 of  am of August 12)

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal and Rayagada.

Day 3 (Yellow Warning)

From 8.30 am of August 12 upto 8.30 am of August 13

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj,
Balasore and Bhadrak.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.
