Odisha weather update: Rainfall likely in these districts today

Bhubaneswar: Rainfall activity is likely to occur in several districts of Odisha today, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, the agency predicted.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Dhenkanal, it warned and issued Yellow Warning for the districts.

On the other hand, a low pressure area is likely to form over central Bay of Bengal around 19th October. It is likely to become more marked during subsequent 24 hours.

Under its influence, enhance rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur in some districts of Odisha between October 19 and 21.
