Odisha: WODC chairperson Subash Chouhan passes away

Bhubaneswar: Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) chairperson and BJD leader Subash Chouhan passed away today. He was 54.

He was suffering from liver disease and admitted to a private hospital here on April 30 for treatment. He was put on ventilator on May 5 and breathed his last while undergoing treatment at 3.05 AM today, hospital sources said.

Chouhan had joined the BJD before the 2019 polls. He was later appointed as the chairperson of WODC.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the death of Chouhan and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
