Odisha: Woman killed, husband, daughter critical as police vehicle hits motorcycle

Bhawanipatna: In a tragic incident, a woman died while her husband and 10-year-old daughter sustained critical injuries as a police vehicle hit the motorcycle on which they were travelling on Biju Expressway near Bhursaguda in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, today.

According to reports, the mishap took place when Krushna Chandra Majhi of Kandhagada village, his wife Kian Majhi and daughter Namita were travelling on the two-wheeler.

A police vehicle collided head-on with the ill-fated motorcycle, leaving the trio critically injured.

The cops present inside the police vehicle rescued the victims and took them to the Koksara Hospital, where the woman died while undergoing treatment.

The father-daughter duo was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital here as their condition deteriorated.
