Odisha: Woman robbed of Rs 2 lakh in broad daylight in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a broad daylight heist, two bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted a bag containing Rs 2 lakh cash from a woman in Bhalakipatala Sahi in Keonjhar town today. The loot victim later lodged a complaint at Keonjhar Town Police station in this regard.

As per the complaint, when the woman, Gitanjali Mohapatra was returning home riding an automatic scooter at Bhalakipatala Sahi after withdrawing cash from the bank, the two youths in a motorcycle waylaid her. They snatched the cash bag from Mohapatra, but she could not resist them. Immediately the miscreants fled the spot which is only a few metres away from Mohapatra’s house.
