Sundergarh: For these two police women, personal happiness is secondary and duty comes first.
Two police women in Sundergarh have postponed their weddings as they are among the COVID-19 frontline warriors who are sacrificing their personal life for professional commitment.
Odisha DGP Abhay was all praises and complimented woman constable and home guard for postponing their weddings and leave due to coronavirus duty.
Both the women had applied for leaves but had to shelve the celebration plans as the district reported at least three positive cases in the last week or so.
“Constable Sunita Adha had her wedding scheduled for April 25, but she postponed her wedding to make Birmitrapur safe for all”, tweeted DGP Abhay.

Even, “Woman Home Guard Tilotamma Meher, who had her wedding scheduled for Apr 12, also postponed her wedding for the same and do her corona duty and make world safer for the brides”, DGP Abhay tweeted.

In Odisha, coronavirus positive cases have surged to 79, including 53 active cases. While 25 patients have recovered, one succumbed to the deadly virus.
