Odisha Work, Steel & Mines Minister tests positive for COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Work, Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik tested positive for COVID-19. Currently, he is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The Minister took to his Twitter handle to inform about this. “I have tested positive for COVID-19 and my health condition is stable now,” he wrote. 

He further requested people who have come in contact with him in the last few days to isolate themselves and get the COVID-19 test done, if required. 

ମୁଁ କରୋନା ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲି ରିପୋର୍ଟ ପଜିଟିଭ ଆସିଛି ପ୍ରଭୁ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ କୃପାରୁ ମୁଁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଅଛି ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସିତ ହେଉଛି । ମୋ ସଂସ୍ପର୍ଶରେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର କରୋନା ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ସହିତ ସଙ୍ଗରୋଧରେ ରହିବାକୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ । @Naveen_Odisha @BJDITWing @kanak_news @otvnews @NandighoshaTV

Till date, over 50 MLAs, include Susant Rout (Bhubaneswar-north), Ananta Narayan Jena (Bhubaneswar-central), Bikram Panda (Berhampur), Byomakesh Ray (Chandbali), Soumya Ranjan Patnaik (Khandapada), Pradeep Maharathy (Pipili), Shankar Oram (Biramitrapur), Aditya Madhi (Malkangiri), Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo and Labour Minister Susanta Singh have contracted the virus.

Besides, three MPs  have also been infected by the virus. They are Suresh Pujari (Bargarh), Manjulata Mandal (Bhadrak) and Ramesh Majhi (Nabarangpur).
