Odisha youth circulates intimate pics, videos of long-time girlfriend, arrested

Keonjhar: Local police today arrested a youth for allegedly circulating intimate pictures and videos of his long-time girlfriend in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

As per reports, the accused identified as Debasish Mohanta from Nandipada village under Champua police limits in the district allegedly posted some intimate pictures and videos of his ex-girlfriend on social media platforms.

Reportedly, Debasish was in a relationship with a victim since his school days. He had captured intimate pictures and videos on his mobile phone while they were in good terms. However, they broke up during their intermediate days.

Infuriated over this, the accused allegedly circulated the intimate photographs and videos on social media platforms.

When the victim came to know about this, her family members lodged a complaint with Joda police. Acting on the complaint, Joda police picked up the accused yesterday for interrogation. Following rounds of quizzing, the accused was arrested today.

“The accused was arrested and forwarded to court after medical examination,” said Joda police station IIC Prakash James Toppo.
