Odisha youth held for posting obscene pics from fake FB account

Paradip: The Paradip Lock Police yesterday arrested a youth for allegedly creating a fake Facebook account in the name of a woman Sarpanch and posting obscene content.

The arrested has been identified as Chaudhury Prakash Beura alisa Jhatua of Nuagaon under Abhyachandpur police limits. He was working as a security supervisor at a company in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the accused developed friendship with the woman earlier this year. He wanted to marry her but later had a grudge against the victim as she got married to another youth.

Following her marriage, he created a fake Facebook account in the name of the woman and added all her friends and relatives to the profile. He then posted nude photos and vulgar messages from the account.

The matter came to fore after her friends and relatives saw the posts and informed her. The woman lodged a complaint with police, on the basis of which he was arrested. Police have seized a mobile phone from his possession. He will be forwarded to court, sources said.
