Odisha youth held for recording obscene video of minor girl

Baripada: The Baripada Town police today arrested a youth for allegedly recording obscene video of a minor girl here today.

According to reports, a minor girl was bathing inside a bathroom at Ward No. 6 here, during which accused Sanu Patra (20) of Mundhakata area under Bangriposi police limits was recording it with a mobile phone.

On realising about Patra’s act, the girl raised an alarm, following which locals nabbed and thrashed him. Later, they handed him over to police.

“We have seized the mobile phone from the possession of the accused. Similar obscene photos and videos of several women were also found saved in the device. He had the intention of blackmailing the women with the videos. He has been arrested and forwarded to court,” said Ashok Kumar Nayak, IIC, Baripada Town police station.
