Odisha youth knocked over by unknown vehicle

Sundargarh, Feb 3:

A 33 year old youth was found dead on NH 143 on Bonei road in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Tuesday morning.

Circumstances suggest that the youth was prehaps knocked over by a speeding heavy vehicle. Police are now investigating the case and trying to identify the vehicle which dashed the bike of the youth.

The deceased was identified as Salman Surin (33), a resident of Jhartagarang at Kalunga at Rourkela. While he was goingony his Hero Honda  CD Delux bike (OD-14B-2509) towards Lahunipada, his bike was dashed by an unknown vehicle on NH 143 at around 10.30 am. After the accident, he  fell on the road and died there.

At around 11 am on Tuesday morning, Lahunipada police got information that the body of youth was lying on Bonei road  on NH 143 near Ekalavya Model School and rushed to the spot.

They seized the body and the bike.

Lahunipada police have  informed deceased Salman Surin’s family members to take his body after the autopsy. Police are now investigating the case and are also trying to identify the vehicle and driver of vehicle which dashed him to death.
