Odisha: Youth murdered in beer parlour over financial transaction

Sonepur: A local youth was allegedly murdered in a beer parlour in Binka, here today.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Dushmant Kisan, a resident of Kuchinda in Kurda under Lahunipada police limits of Sundergarh and employed at Binka Fire Station.

According to sources, Kisan had sought a loan of Rs. 2 lakh from one Tiku Asgar (32) of Chamarpada in Binka and was not repaying the amount for the last two years.

Asgar had been repeatedly asking Kisan for the money, but the latter was not returning it. Therefore, Asgar summoned him to a beer parlour and murdered him by slitting his throat with a machete.

Later, the accused surrendered before Binka police and confessed to the crime. The police has arrested Asgar and sent Dushmant’s body for autopsy.
