Various social organisations extended their support to these Odias and facilitated return to their native places.

“We were not getting salary since last three months. We had no food to eat. We are very happy that we are returning back to Odisha today. We thank Kanak News for their efforts for which it was possible for our return. We thank Odisha Samaj and Jai Jagannath Group and others for their help. But, the government hasn’t offered any help to us,” a stranded Odia said.

While four workers are from Ganjam district, one hails from Khurda district.

A United Arab Emirates-based social organisation Odisha Samaj has bailed these youths out from trouble. The OSUAE has booked the Dubai-New Delhi and New Delhi-Bhubaneswar air tickets for their return.

“The five boys who were stranded, have been sent back to Odisha today, after arranging necessary documentation and payment of overstay.” Odisha Samaj UAE posted on social media.
