Odisha’s Amiya, Srabani bag gold at national athletics meet

Bhubaneswar: Odisha sprinters Amiya Kumar Mallick and Srabani Nanda have won gold in 200m men and women categories respectively at the of 57th National Senior Inter-State Athletic Championships held at the Acharya Nagarjuna University ground in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh today.

Jauna Murmu, also from Odisha has also secured silver medal in women’s 400m hurdles earlier on the opening day of the championships.

The four-day championships is the last chance for those athletes who are yet to attain the qualifying mark for the IAAF World Championships scheduled for August 4-13 in London.
