Odisha’s Jayachandra, Sitansu clear BCCI referee test

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Former skipper in Odisha Ranji team Pinninti Jayachandra and former cricketer Sitansu Sarangi cracked the match referee test conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

With success in the test, the number of Odisha cricketers reached four in the club of BCCI Referee.

Notably, Sanjay Raul and Prashant Mohapatra have been managing the matches as the BCCI panel referee.

The test was conducted on August 28 and 29 in Bengaluru following two-day workshop. Former cricketer and international match referee Javagal Srinath and England Umpire trainer David trained the candidates. Total 20 candidates in India have cleared the test.
