Odisha’s Nandankanan zoo welcomes 12 avian guests

Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 long-billed vultures arrived at the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Odisha capital yesterday.

The winged guests were brought from the Gwalior zoo to commence the Vulture Conservation Breeding Programme in Nandankanan, sources said.

The condition of the vultures is stated to be good. Identification tags were attached to the birds and their feathers plucked, sources added.

The vultures shall be sent to the Odisha Veterinary College for sex determination.
