Patra, who died at MKCG Medical College and Hospital of Berhampur while under treatment, had consumed drugs beyond prescribable limits.

“We received the viscera report yesterday. It says that he died of Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline overdose,” said MKCG Forensic Chief professor Sachidananda Mohanty speaking to reporters today.

The Handwriting Bureau of the Odisha Crime Branch had yesterday confirmed that the suicide notes matched with the handwritings of the deceased.

The relatives of Santosh and deceased manager Ananga Manjari demanded a faster probe and stringent action following the revelation.

“We want immediate action against the culprits who damaged their reputation. The enquiry has already proven that they have not misappropriated properties of the king,” said Ananga’s sister.

The kin of the deceased has named a local television channel in their complaint with the police.
